Free Application for Federal Student Aid Now Available for 2021

Now is the best time to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, better known as the FAFSA. Advisors from the Office of Financial Aid are standing by to provide information and help current students complete the application for next year’s aid consideration (2021-22). It’s also not too late to complete an application for this year. Visit the Office of Financial Aid website to find the information you need to be ready for 2021.

Current students should schedule an appointment with a financial aid advisor through UASuccess. Prospective students may reach a financial aid advisor by emailing [email protected] or calling (479) 575-3806.

“Every student should make plans to complete the FAFSA, even if they think they may not be eligible for aid,” said Phillip Blevins, director of financial aid and academic scholarships. “Filling out the FAFSA is the first step in developing a solid financial plan for college, and we are here to help.”

The FAFSA is used to determine each student’s eligibility for financial aid, including loans, and current students should complete the FAFSA each year. The application is free and is required for federal and state aid, as well as many scholarship opportunities. For Arkansas residents, the application for state financial aid also opens each year on Oct. 1 through the Arkansas Department of Higher Education (ADHE). Current freshmen or non-traditional students may be eligible for the Academic Challenge Scholarship if they were not offered it as high school seniors.
